Its only for the superduty guy's!! Too bad its a good set-up. Do some searches on the Tymar intake. I love mine and is proably one of the best intakes for the OBS truck.
Try a search for the Kwik air filter. This setup will get you what you need for not the $$$$. I have the AIS, but only bought it due to warranty concerns. Will switch to Kwik air filter after warranty expires. Will still be cheaper than buying the element for the AIS.
don't feel too bad... the superduties came equiped with a lame filter setup... great idea but ford get cheap on the actuall application... the result was a filter that flowed enough air for basic operation, but failed in many cases to properly seal the box with the filter element in it which results in dirt getting around the filter and "dusted" turbos and engines.... now... there are people in here who will say i'm wrong about this... so be it... but i will defend my opinion by asking this question... if the stock filter on my 02 was perfectly fine, then why did they supply later model super duties with the AIS type filter...? the new setup they are using is much more expensive for them to install in all those trucks.... why would they spend all that money if they didn't need to... i second duallydawg's statements.... i use the kwik filter too... it flows more air and filters very well and doesn't let any dirt slip around it for cheap $$... the AIS is better, but barely, and it is MUCH more $$$...
