Ive got a 1990 Ford Diesel with the ATS turbo, here is my question. My A/C is cold as ice but i dont have all my settings for my blower. I have only 1 setting, and if i switch to hi or lo i loose it all, like it shuts the blower off. I replaced the switch with no help on the problem, i dont know if it could be something more major that has something to do with the blower motor itself, or the wireing from the switch to the blower motor. Please help its hot here and it takes for ever to cool this regular cab down because of this.
There is a resistor that is used to control the blower speed it will be in the airstream down wind from the blower it will be a square plug with at least four wires in it. Also the plug at either at the resistor or the switch is noted for melting and causing bad connections.
Thank you on the A/C i will be looking into it, i spliced a new plug onto the back of the blower speed switch, and it was melted to s***. Now i just need to see if any of the wires were melted in the process of the plug being melted. Thank you again.
