Torqueshift observation

I towed my travel trailer this weekend and encountered some little hills at about 30 mph. I had the tranny in tow/haul mode. I noticed that going down a hill, if I pressed the brake pedal, the tranny would downshift pretty low to provide engine braking. I hope this is normal, because it was very useful.

Yep normal. The tranny will "learn" and go from there so it might vary if you tow different size (weight) trailers.
