I bought a 70's F350 and I would like to know what year it is. The problem is...they guy I bought it from put the cab and front clip from a '78 F150 on the chassis and titled it that way. The truck has an FE with a 4 spd. and rear PTO. It also has drums up front. The VIN on the frame is long gone, I just want to narrow this down to a few model years so I can have some idea what to tell the parts guy. Are there any tags or numbers anywhere that I can use? Thanks!!!
I believe there is a VIN number stamped into the top of the passenger side frame rail between the front axle and the rad support. Might try looking for that and posting it.
Is it a 2wd or 4x4? I'm not sure if this applies to F350s but, weren't discs standard in '73 for 2wd and '76 for 4x4? So it would be before that...
I never heard of any other vin numbers....where exactly is this other one under the cab? Also, what do you want me to take pictures of? Anything in particular?
