i have a 1996 f-150 wont trade for anything but my daughter has a 2002 explorer its one thing after another this time the overdrive is flashing she had the filter changed and the fluid about 1000 miles ago it has only 60,000 miles on it whats up sure could use some answers
You'll have to have someone pull the transmission codes.
I can't help much without knowing what codes are stored.
I know these are bad for transmission solenoids - they start sticking after the wrong fluid is used. It's possible whoever flushed the transmission used regular mercon, or some "multipurpose" fluid.. neither are acceptable. You must use MERCON V, and I also recommend the transmission additive be added as well (ford dealers will know - it was used in a recall for 2003/2004 explorers)
