Anyone had a steering stabilizer added? Just wondering if they will help the "wandering" and keep the truck from jumping when turning and hitting bumps.
I put Bilstein shocks and Hellwig antisway bars on my truck--wandering went away totally. There was lots of discussion about this almost a year ago and the consesus was that the stock shocks were basically JUNK. I ordered my shocks from eshocks.com cheaper than I could buy them at the local autozone. Hellllwigs came from Summit, but J.C. Whitney will give you a deal if you call and talk to them.
All that goes away if you save your money and can afford an 05 - guess now an 06. There is a huge difference in handling and I have never been sorry I bit the bullet and traded my 04 - it did exactly what you report.

Or you could spend less money on decent shocks and a stabilizer. My old f150 did the exact same thing, bounced and felt likeit would go out of control on a washboard. Solved with Procomp shocks.
My 04', had no wandering what-so-ever with the stock steering stabilizer. I put the lift, wheels and tires on with the Skyjacker stabilizer and it's even steadier.
