Cooked another starter

Well after the last bog i somehow managed to pack the starter with mud (bellhousing is seealed up as well as the starter) pretty good and today i got to pulling it to clean it out today as it was hanging up pretty bad. So i got it apart only to find that it was packed worse than i thought and that the armature was rusted pretty good. So basically i wondering is there anything else i can to hekp seal the starter up etter (i already silcon and tape them up as good as i can, i run a bead of silicon around the outside of it when it bolted to the bellhousing, i have a bead of silcon on the bellhousing to motor surfaces, i think the only place it can get in there is at the clutch fork boot, any ideas on how to seal that up better along with any other ideas, as i need this for saturday, and would like to get the thing sealed up as best i can. (this is the third starter i'm on in like 10 boggs), here is what the starter looks like after i pulled it apart and wiped all the mud out:

Thats about what mine looked like, just less exterior rust on mine.
Umm... you seal your flywheel housing but... do you have a flywheel vent? I do, and thats how it all gets in....

No flywheel vent, and if there is one it'd be up by the fire wall on the top of the bellhousing which is one of the places i don't get mud. But i'm thinking its getting in the clutch fork boot, i will know more tomorrowmorning when i give it a good once over.

Just wondering, where do you run the vent for the starter itself or do you just stick a bolt into the tube?

To tell you the truth i can't find the vents on the starters, i belive these ones are venting through the snout end, but i discovered today that a bit of mud is comin gin through the clutch fork boot, but i think that the mud forced in through the taped i used on the back end and caused the problem, but the styarter i threw on there today is more sealed off, and plus i used some silcon and made double sure. Now i just need to figure out how to seal off the that one boot.
