Well they finally sentanced Denis Raider today, 9 capitol murder and they got the "hard 40". Personally I wish he comited the crimes in Texas, they have a death penalty!!
The guy needs to die, but this media coverge is what he wants. Did anyone think he was going to get 10 years. what was the difference between 60 and 300. You couldnt be mean enough to him as far as I am concearned.
Rose Hill, KS.
I gotta say, the victim's famillys are better than I. It takes alot of composure to stand up and say what they did, I'm pretty sure I couldn't have done it.
I to wish Texas's "fast lane" justice would help us out. Can't complain much though, they took that monster Doyle Lane off our hands.
Thought the Carr brothers had the KS death penality thrown out.
I heard somewhere that Raider gets a manditory appeal. With the current sentences running consecutive he will never live long enough to come up for parole. Wonder if that will be true after all the appeals are said and done and he is turned over completely to the corrections system.
Nancy Shoemakers family had to go through the parole stuff with Donald Wacker last year. These things seem to drag on forever for the victims family's.
My thoughts go out to all the victims of violent crimes and there family's.
They arn't running the sentances concurent, that's what the "hard 40" is for, he has NO posibility of parole until he serves his 40 years, by then he will be dead. Besides, he would never get paroled, even if he did i would give him 24hrs before he ended up in a morgue. I changed my mind on the death penalty, it's too easy for him, going with Rollie's coment he should be kept in a dark cell with a doctor to keep him alive. The victim's fammilies would be able to "visit" him whenever they felt like it and kick him in the junk!!!
Actually, he won't be eligible for parole until 2180. Once he is paroled from his first sentance, it will roll overto his next one, until allten are completed (yeah right). I found his KDOC page, the earliest release date looks real nice.
i personally would rather die then sit in a cell 23 hours a day, i think this will be the most suffering.... as the death penelty is usually quick and not very painfull
