Talking update on progress....

well I actually drove the 50 f1 panel, legally on the street on 8-13-5, and went to the All Ford Picinic, in champoeg state park, oregon on sunday.... It was quite the experence driving the panel for the first event/ road trip....

did not have the hood or rear doors done, but it helped the motivation...

pics 9 and 10 in the gallery..

Just kidding, glad to hear that you were able to get it out on the road and enjoy it. My 49 got pushed to the back burner and I havent touched it for better than a month now....but the house trim is finally finished being paitned and I got the crate engine installed in the wife's suburban and back on the road this week so maybe I can get back to work on my toy

cabby,
thanks. I actually made a bit of progress over the weekend and took a few more baby steps. I got the transmission cooler lines bent up and installed and got upper and lower radiator hoses in place.

Enjoy your truck!
Bobby

PS The fire truck looks like a neat toy also! I once owned a 1942 American LaFrance pumper that I referred to as my snappy red convertible
