gas prices in Ca

i dont get it, when i bought my 2002 psd i thought i was really doin the right thing. i bought a truck that had heavy emmissions not greenhouse emmissions and a truck that would squeek out better mpg and most importantly I could buy gas for 20 cents cheaper. at 100k miles ive more than paid for the difference in engine options. just when im gonna start seeing a "profit" on this truck i paid 50 cents more than the low octain gas. what the hell is going on? im under the impression that diesel takes less processing to produce or refinement or whatever. i parked the damn thing and started driving the little s-10 pickup i bought to fix up for my son, i can put low octane in and drive all freakin week. give me some advice, give me peace of mind tell me who to v ote for tell me when they are gonna make hybrid trucks with the same performance as my psd. better fix up the damn schwinn!

Was reading the paper this morning and there was a picture of an Amish woman in front of a Quick Time gas station in Drakesville, Iowa. The sign showed $2.53 for regular, but only $2.13 for diesel. That's over a buck cheaper than here on the "LEFT COAST". Thank God I can ride my motorcycle year round to work.

Yeah. I'm very unhappy. My PSD gets about the same mileage as my old Toyota 4-banger did, but if I had the Toy, I'd be paying almost $0.40 less per gallon,

AND - I have a nice BMW motorcycle, gets near 50mpg (well, on premium but it STILL is near 50mpg) - BUT I can't ride it because I screwed up my knee just as the prices started to climb!!

I am soooo screwed....

I do have hope, however. I passed a station where the diesel price droped 3 cents in the last week.

Maybe, MAYBE, it has peaked and will slowly drop to something more reasonable - like closer to what the REST of the country is paying.

Yea I'm here in beautiful San Jacinto. WHere the Diesel fuel is above $3.15 and it's half water. At least the last time I filled up..good 'ol Fasttrip. Now I'm running on about 7 cyl. And probably will have to take it to the Stealer. More than likely it has taken out an enjector or the enjector pump.

the chevron refinery in long beach lost control of the hydrogen burner which heats the crude to refine and they overheated the cooling tower that seperates the layers of fuel so it has been down for repairs the last 3 weeks so diesel has been having to get imported from other areas.

they just need to build some new refineries in the US its been 40 years since a new refinery has been built thats why all the refineries are having to work at full production and havent had time for pm. this rush rush that they all have been having is why there have been more and more refinery problems and not to mention there all ancient.

I was suprised today to see Diesel down to $3.29 was $3.39 last week. Maybe Rajie couldn't unload it at that price or maybe he is cutting it with H2O. What a crook ether way....

That's B.S. Story there telling everyone. Evertime gas goes up or electricity goes up its this power station accident or this refinery accident. It's all B.S. I do work out at these places and anyguy that works out there will tell you it is. Its high every where in the country. If I am not mistaken, the excuse there giving everyone is because they have to remove sulphur out of Diesel by the end of the year.
