transmission advice
i have a 78 F-250 351M C6
the tranny has developed a bad leak i replace the pan gasket and the shift shaft seal now it's leaking from the front, must be the main seal. here is the question. it acts fine as long as it has enough fluid in it and as long as i keep it parked flat i can keep enough in there to drive it.
do i spend the $350 to replace the seal or do i drive it like it is until the tranny gives up and rebuild it for $800???
