Exhaust pipes
For now, with my budget, I want to utilize the stock manifolds and the dual glasspacks that came with the truck. I need to get exhaust pipes to connect the manifolds to the glasspacks. (255 flattie)
Will a crossover pipe in front of the mufflers help any or does it need to be farther forward? Any reccommendations on vendors? Do the Menicke type chains do a decent job at a decent price? I have the cruddy original pipes that went to the glasspacks as a sample for them to copy. What's a reasonable price?
Once that's done, I can remount the doghouse.

I called some of the chain type shops for prices, from the manifolds back, with true duals, a crossover and dual 40 flowmasters and chrome 3' tips. Prices were in excess of $500. The local home grown shop did it for less than $300!
