Braided ground cable vs sheathed
I am replacing the engine in my truck and notice that it had braided ground wires running from the block to the cab and also the frame. Should I put the braided back or can I use cables like the ones that run to the battery for my grounds?

Cables will work fine. Just don't make them too short. The cheaper battery cables do not have very many strands of copper. So if you made the cable short, the engine vibration may break it after a long time period. The braided cables are very flexible. If you use the battery cables, just make a little loop in the cable if it's a very short run, so it will have some length and be able to flex.
