The problem I got is my truck idles rough while in gear and if driven awhile like 20 30 miles it will sometimes cut off while in gear. This is the only time it does it. there is no hesitiation, no rough riding at any speeds. I just changed from 2bbl to the edelbrock performer rpm intake and 600 holley. It has done this since I put on carb thought maybe it was from dead gas inside at beginning or something but hasn't changed. any help would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
BigD,
1. Your lean!
If your rpms are high enough then your idle mixture is too lean. When setting your idle mixture (two screws on either side of front bowl) insure that they are adjusted equally. That is, if the left one is two turns out so is the right one. As you adjust them you eill hear the idle smooth out.
2. Your retarded!
You may need to advance your timing. If your lean and you advance your idle, it will not help.
Good Luck,
