Cab mount replacement

Aight I have almost finished the nightmare of replacing cab mounts. My cab mounts were rusted through and had collapsed so I decided that I really need to replace them. Today I cut all the old metal out, put the new mount in, and got everything alligned. The biggest pain in the rear of it all was removing the rubber bushings...I had to take a sawzall and sut them in half. Tomorrow I am going to weld it and paint it and then it is ready to hit the road. Next week Im going to do the other side which is not as bad. I will post the pictures of the finsihed product tomorrow.

Yup, usually the frame mount also rusts thru right at the diameter of the bushing. I had a truck like that years ago. Had to patch the mount and redrill hole.
The hardest part...is finding something SOLID to weld to. Sometimes you end up needing to cut the floor out to get to something substantial.

Good looking job so far.....
