35x12.50 on factory 18 inch rims w/2.5" leveling kit
So I have been at a delima. I have a 2.5 inch leveling kit, and I would like to put new tires that are as close to 35s as I can.
The proper size would be 295/70/18 which is essentially a 35, its just not as wide as a 12.50. The only problem with the 295s is that there is not a good selection of tires that come in that size. Nitto Trail Grapplers are the only ones that I like and they are very expensive. 35x12.50 come in a lot of different styles, brands, and price ranges.
So what I need to know is will a 35x12.50 fit on stock 18" rims or will it rub like crazy?

I would almost guarantee that they will rub when turning at full lock. I have a 2" leveling kit with 305 55 r20's. They only rub when at full lock. I investigated and found that they are only rubbing on the sway bar. Not too worried about damage to the tires from that kind of contact. So you will have the same issue with the 12.5 tire.

I agree with Dumass the tire will fit but it will be bulging over so much that the tire will have more problems. Now aftermarket wheels would fit the larger tire but with the backspacing they would most likely rub more. The other thing you have to watch is that not all 12.5" tires are that wide. Take the Nitto tires their 12.5 wide tire is actually like 13.5" wide. Either spend the money for the Trails or keep looking for another tire that you like.

I want to fill the fenderwell up as much as possible. I really need to see some 33s in person before I will be able to tell if I want them or not.
I'm thinking that one of these three sets will be what I get. Which ones will fit the best.
eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

I really like the ones that are closer to 35", but as long as I get the correct width I am thinking that they will not rub.
My favorites are the middle set.

I agree with gundown64. I have even noticed a difference in performance going to 33's. 35's with stock gearing would feel doggy for sure. With a 35" tire I think you will have too much tire to fender well clearence ratio. That's why most lift kits suggest a 35 after a 6" lift. It looks more proportional. 33's look mint with just a leveling kit.

Dig through Gundown's gallery as his truck is like yours and has some nice 33" tires on it and it looks good.
