Wheel Bearing Replacement
Good Morning,
I have a crunching sound and an intermittent sound that sounds like metal on metal coming from my front left wheel. I have had the wheel off looking for foreign substances but did not find anything. When turning the wheel by hand, I can hear the sound in the wheel bearing pack so do have some questions for the forum members.
1) Has anyone changed these wheel bearings and if so were there any difficulities experienced?
2) My truck is a 2000 F150 4X4 extended cab so if anyone has the parts numbers associated with this wheel bearing could you please let me know.
3) I was wondering if there are any techie type manuals out on the internet that backyard mechanics have put together. I have found these to be extremely useful for working on my motorcycle as they point out the do's and don'ts...
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated...if anyone has other suggestions I would certainly entertain these as well....
