Now, if you were to keep track of exactly how much you spent on the SPEEDPASS, and you will for tax purposes anyway, then have a certified check made up & sent in time to arrive a couple of days AFTER the SPEEDPASS bill, well...... , maybe I just like stirring the pot too much.

Mckerrow's price this morning for regular was 1.02.4

I just got home from work now and i drove by the Esso and they are the first ones to move up to 1.08.5, I am almost afraid to wake up tomorrow. Its not the easiest when you only make $7.15 an hour and have to drive 20km a day to get into town for school and work.

These prices just made up my mind about not comuting to college. I'll rent an apartment i guess.

Gas here just hit $1.03.9 a litre. My Focus was EMPTY! I looked across the road and the Esso still has it for $0.96.9...woohoo!

even though i keep my truck top notch its still hard for me to pull in to get gas and whip out my hard earned money to pay for a top off in my tank..i just dont get it anymore..i know people have said this a few times but we should all stick togeather and boycotte these gas stations and be done with. they get richer and we get poorer after a days work..its worse than taxes..we give out more money to them and no tax break..maybe they should take the tax off for fuel for starters..thats my last two cents to say the least

If you guys are this delusional then we may have to get the chapter members together and perform an intervention! Only because we CARE! and if this goes unchecked we'll find you wearing polyester suits and driving a LADA.

Maybe I'm wrong and it's not cool to drive a 30 year old truck when gas is $1.02 a litre....????.........Nahh! It will still be cool at twice the price!

 

Time to buy gas around here. I just paid 94.5 half an hour ago at Sunoco.
Sadly, the Ranger didn't get premium this time around. Looks like those days are pretty much over.

Ahh, reading this, I can think of the good ole days (of mid-August) now that gas is around $1.26-$1.36/Liter. If I wasn't so absolutely in-love with my truck, it'd be gone by now and I'd be driving some little mid-nineties compact Japanamation mobile. It kills me to have to shell out $135CAD to fill her up, and have to fill up weekly or more! That's 25% of my total take home earnings (please don't calculate my monthly take-home pay, lol).

What the heck! !!!

I have not filled up my truck since 98.5 cents/litre. I have been throwing in $20-$30 each time hoping that the prices will come down. How much money do these oil companys have to make?
PREDICTION....1st quarter 2006 oil companies will announce that 2005 was a record breaking year for profits.
What are we gonna do? Nothing, typical Canadian acceptance of government inactivity. We could call or write our elected representatives and try and convince them that gasoline is an energy source not unlike hydro and natural gas so therefore it should be regulated as such.? How many are going to take action? ? Answer...NOT enough! So lets all just bend over and take it, smile and apologize of course, for being uncomfortable with the procedure, after all we are Canadian and this is our way.
Or maybe we should buy stock in oil companys, after all if you can't beat them join them? At least some of that money you pour into your tank will find it's way back to your pocket. Or you could be an ethical stock holder and influence change from within the corporate board room.......don't let the door hit you on the way out!

What am I going to do? Well, I got some FTE Ontario Chapter Stickers ( thanks again Al for bringing them over) and I'm gonna put one on the front of my truck and one on the back. The resulting decrease in drag and improved aero-dynamics should net me at least 5mpg! And...my truck will look that much better driving down the road.

Ouchy! I filled the Focus last night for $53!!!! I'm used to the truck taking 50ish bucks to fill, but the car!!!!! I think that's the first time it's taken more than $40 to fill the car from empty.

 

It cost you $53 to fill up your Focus? I am glad I don't have one of those. WAIT! I DO! Oh geez!

I filled up my Focus one week ago today. Gas was at 98.9 cents a litre. I have not gassed up since and I still have over 1/2. I can leave it for another week.
