391 FT Heads
Hi there,
I need to replace the heads on my 391 FT. Anyone have any? Someone with experience: is replacement or rebuilding a better option?

Hi,
Well, if you rebuild the ones you have at least you know what yer getting. Put hardened seats in of course. Will last a long while.
Buy junk yard heads and you never know the history of the heads. Who knows they may also need rebuilding.
You might can find some rebuilt heads at a shop, not sure though.
I would use the heads you currently have with a rebuild. Mine cost ~$370.00 for the rebuild, thats new seats, guides and half the valves replaced if this helps.
