C 6 question?

I have read here before that a C6 is more reliable and I would like to put one behind my 302. Also will it bolt right up or would there have to be any mods made? Thanks for all the help with my questions.

Thanks man I was just wondering if that tranny would be good or not for my truck. Guys I just left the junkyard and they have an overdrive tranny for a reasonable price what do you think about a overdrive tranny in a pickup with 302 good idea or bad. The guy said it would work great but they will tell ya anything for the money.

ive got a 302, and an aod from a ltd, works great, decient power, good economy. the nice thing is that you can run lower gears for towing, or power, but still have decient top end, and good fuel milage. i'm gettin 20-22 mpg(canadian)

C 6 question?
If it helps - my truck has a 302 with a C6 bolted to it right from the factory. Good solid transmission from my perspective. They are more heavy duty then the C4's. My parts truck has a 351M bolted to a C6!
