about this article, it was written about 4 months ago, when the gas prices did drop a tiny bit and it was ALL over the news, that was entirely ridiculous cause they never really boast that much when they go through the roof 10 fold of the (then) recent decrease. I thought we bought alaska for the oil, When I did research about it to back myself up, thats when i found out i was wrong. the fur trade is what motivated us to buy alaska from the russians, we were ghoing to offr like 4 million for it, then got distracted with WW1? or WW2, I forget now, but in the end we paid around 15 million. they set aside anwr sort of like a renewable resource so that the hunters wouldnt kill ALL of the animals, only the ones that stepoped foot outside that area. so yeah, guess where the animals ran. but this was all in the middle 1900's, the fur industry isnt what it used to be, and I personally dont think we have a use for the ANWR anymore.
lemme know if you would like to see other articles I've written. thanks!
