I have a Clifford Matrix 10.5X....its a very good alarm, it has a two way remote, and you can upgrade it easily. I added a glass break sensor to it, and it just plugs in to the alarm box. Pretty much anything made by DEI (viper, clifford, etc) will be an excellent alarm. Call around to your local alarm installers (anyone but car toys, etc). The locals will be cheaper and you can see what alarms they have and then you can research the one you want. I had a small shop install my alarm for more than 100 bucks cheaper than car toys. If you ever go into car toys, you will see what you are paying for.....a pretty shop.

i would call around locally. You can get the alarm AND have it installed. If you install it yourself, and you get in a bind, you can forget having DEI help you out. I had a question for them, and they won't answer anything unless you are a professional installer. Warranty will be void, etc. I highly suggest you have it installed professionally. If nothing else, you can place blame on someone else for screwing something up. I have the 10.5x. The only difference is the rsx3.5 has remote start. The remotes are very sweet.....

i got the alarm on amazon.com and i am not going to do it myself, i called best buy and they gave an estimate of 200 for the install. they are a certified installer, so the warrenty shouldnt be a problem. i was pretty impressed witht he amazon.com buy since the box was never opend and i got it in 3 days.

I have that alarm in my 2005 psd the thing works great, remote start, built in turbo timer, it has a range for the pager of about 1/2 mile! don't forget you need to install a relay for the remote start due to the glow plug warm up time! Good luck

I bought the python 871 made by DEI. Great alarm with remote start, turbo timer and paging system. I also had a backup battery to power alarm if power was cut and also a siren in the cab so that way they will be deaf if they try to steal it. All for 420 installed at Circuit city. I tried to find the brain before they showed me and couldnt. Everything was hidden and taped so you couldnt see any wires. Only thing is that it only comes with 1 remote. Additional pager remotes are 89.99 for my model but you can buy basics for like 12.00 that dont have the paging system for the wife.
