Clutch chatter fixin'

My 89's clutch has been giving me trouble ever since I swapped the transmission out.

It used to have a ZF and I took that out and put an M5OD in there. When doing so, I changed the clutch disc. However, I was being cheap and tried to reuse the unresurfaced flywheel and reuse the pressure plate. The flywheel probably should of been resurfaced, and the pressure plate probably should of been replaced, but there were not any gouges in the surfaces. Other then minor heat marks, there wasn't anything else obviously wrong. The fingers on the pressure plate looked ok. So I just threw them back in and for the first 500+ miles or so the truck was fine, but after that the clutch started chattering and has been chattering for a few thousand miles now. Havn't had the time to fix it, and it still works so I've let it slide.

Now it's time to fix this problem.

Do you think I can just resurface the flywheel, replace the pressure plate, and re-use the old clutch disc and be ok?

For the price difference between a new pressure plate and a complete clutch kit, why chance it?
You can have the flywheel resurfaced as long as there aren't any heat cracks in it.

Complete clutch kit? Is...that a kit with a clutch disc and pressure plate?

I'm just simply trying to pay the least amount of money as possible. I am just fixing it and selling the truck, it's just a beater. I've already sunk enough money into it lol.

Re-using the disk, replacing the cover and resurfacing the flywheel should work ok if you're going to sell it. If I'm replacing one for my own driving purposes, I prefer to use a new flywheel. I seems like the blue spots are harder than the rest of the steel - sometimes when they are turned, the cutter "rides" over them, and the cut isn't within fly whisker tolerances. Eh!
It will be fine for what you want.

On the 95 I went with all new, but this is an old truck that already has enough wrong with it. It has a new slave and it'll have new clutch components, the new owner should be happy with it. Don't want to rip anyone off but I am not going to put a ton of money into something and get rid of it, ya know?
