Ummm, well I'm not sure. Sounds like a 3spd/od tranny? I thought those had a special front end on them? Or is it actually a old toploader that THEY took out of their 82?

I bought it anyway it was on ebay and I have someone who can pick it up for me.

Well, the D9 tells me it's a 1979...which would lead me to believe it's a 3 spd OD tranny. Good for transportation use, but not for racing.
As for fitting....I'm still not sure what the deal is. I've never actually try comparing the two? Davidkeetoploaders.com
