So I went to try out my new vacume pump the other day and decided to hook it up to my vacume advance on my 360.. When I hooked it up and got no seal what so ever, I figured my vacume advance was bad. So I go to the parts store and they have 4 different dizzy's to chose from, asking about if I have a governer and if so what kind?...my question is, how do I tell if, and what kind of governer I have. This is a 76 hi-boy with a pretty much stock 360 4v holley 4150. Any help is awesome!!!!!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Oct-02 AT 08:46 PM (EST)]I take it the dizzy has to be removed to see these numbers? I was looking on the side and didnt see any...I looked at the parts stores and there is only one with single vacuum advance...is there a way to tell this? I only have 1 advance unit and there is only one line attached to it...Is this my part? or do I need the numbers?I dont want to pull my dizzy andmore than I hace to cuz my oil pump driveshaft likes to fall into the oil pan...Gotta get the right one of those too...
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 04-Oct-02 AT 10:25 PM (EST)]ok. I looked on the housing Behind the clips and the only # I found was a 12127, right above the word motorcraft I looked very closely around the top rim around to the other side and behind that clip too and from what I can tell there are no more numbers.I Guess I will just have to pull it out and look closer. Thank you for you paitence, I know I will get this resolved.
