straight pipe exhaust

I've made an appointment to cut out my muffler and run the straight pipe setup next friday. I'd like to hear from other users who have this setup on their truck how they like or dislike it.

I cut mine off at the front of the muffler, bought a turn down pipe so it come out on the ground. Now just at idle you can hear the turbo spinning. Sounds like a semi going through the neighborhood. Sounds like power and I love it.

yes I agree. I removed muffler and now it sounds pretty good. Seems like maybe it runs a little better.Definately worth doing imo.

I was mad that I got 4-inch exhaust, until I took the muffler off. MUCH better now.

I have stock straightpipe....Is there a huge difference between the stock 3 1/2" straightpipe and a 4" or 5" straightpipe???
