Aux Idel Controller
I had seen this post in the 6.0 forum, and was wondering if the same wire exists under the dash in a 7.3

I went and looked at mine and easily found the grey/blue wire with the tape on it just like in the picture.

On closer inspection of the wires, I find that the color code is reversed from what the web page describes. In other words the color code for the wire that I found is blue with yellow stripe. But according to the web site it's supposed to be over by the parking brake. Mine's next to the OBD connector and seems to be included in the wiring harness for the plug. So the color coding is reversed for the 7.3's I think. And nowhere could I find a harness with the other wire in it without tearing things apart, and I'm not in the mood to do that today without knowing specifically where to go.
So unless someone knows more about our 7.3's wiring on this subject, I'm calling it a day on this one.
I wouldn't be surprised it that wire is for the PTO idle and would love to hook it up but won't unless I have some clear directions. Don't want to be eating my ECU for dinner.
