Flame Thrower Exhaust.. ?

A guy on my mustang forum did this. What he did was put a spark plug into his exhaust and ran the lead through a switch. Whenever he wanted to, he hit the switch and the spark plug caused the exahaust gas to catch on fire. It actually looks pretty trick.
Thing is, I don't think you can do it if you still have cats. He has an offroad H pipe. All the crap that would normally ignite is caught up in the cats before it gets to the spark plugs.

You could do it on your truck, but not like AJs2001F150 is talking about. Unless the cats are gone, and you can make the exhaust richer. However, the new kits are the type that inject propane into the exhaust, towards the rear. Those are the ones that throw the blue flames real far. That type is pretty easy to put in, from what I have been told. I have never installed this type of system. I have done the type with the spark plugs in the exhaust. It was on an old truck with a manual choke. It works great with a manual choke, just a simple spark plug, a little wiring, and bang!
