Fine-Tuning Audio System?
For instance, I don't even know how to make sure your sub is in phase and if there is a time delay between amps.
I know I could hook up an o-scope, but that is one instrument I don't have and can't take home from work.
Any advice is appreciated!
Also, what about sound dampening in the doors? I'm thinking about putting a baffle in the doors behind the speakers. Has anyone done this and what were your results?
Thanks!!

You can also check it by looking at the sub and make sure the cone moves out when the bass hits, not in.
When I put baffles in my doors, it increased the low end response, which I already had too much of, so I took them out.
I would highly recommend getting an IASCA test disc or similar
this will walk you through phasing\imaging\staging
you will find your weak spots and peaks
do not be concerned with sub woofer phasing this really is not
a SQ concern more in the ear of the beholder
your front speakers however do need to be in phase with one another
aside from having a good eq for time alignment\freq adjustment etc...
things like setting the right crossover freq+ and slopes is important
and speaker placement as well
sound deadner is always a good idea--the quieter the environment the better you can hear you music repoduced
