I'm thinking of puttin a gamecube in my truck....just for tha hell of it . Why gamecube? Cuz I got one sitting around already . Anyway, i noticed the gamecube adapter puts out 12VDC, so is there some kind of adapter I can buy so I can plug it into my truck's power point? Or will I need a power inverter?
For the screen, Im thinking eBay I've used eBay before, but not for car audio/video....anyone with feedback? Anyone have a game system in their car?
first you need to find out the current draw
it should be written some where on the cord or nintendo itself
will be in amps
then you can likely find a cord a radio shack the will work
they sell one with mutliple ends you can match up
just be sure its the right voltage and can handle that amperage draw
Im lookin at a 7" Legacy LCD for $130 shipped. Sounds good to me . Also, I saw some Gamecube car adapters on ebay for around $15 shipped...sounds even beter
just get one of those new PSIIs, the little bity ones. PS has a lot better games than the cube, IMHO. one of the older PSIs with the built on screen are pretty handy, i reckon theyll be a lot cheaper now a days.
The car adapters for the Gamecube on ebay sounds like the way to go. If you hardwire it doublecheck the working input voltage of the Gamecube. I know that the ac/dc converter outputs 12VDC, but when yer truck is running the alternator is going to be sending ~13.5 to 14VDC output. However you get it wired, make sure you have it fused just in case.
