Tailgate seal

Has anybody used that Tailgate sealing stuff, the extra thick weatherstripping, in combination with a soft bed cover? I notice HUGE gaps inthe tailgate, even with the Access cover on, but it hasn't rained yet for me to pick up on a leak.

I'm just curious if this stuff actually stops water from leaving the bed if it has to, say when the cover is rolled up or with snow melting. Maybe just installing on the sides would be enough to keep the bed dry. Thanks

Tony

I haven't installed it myself, however a buddy at work did and said it worked well - I have the access cover without the weather strippingand haven't noticed water yet - so am waiting until I see water to do anything about those gaps - not like the stuff is expensive so if you have stuff in the back you don't want to risk getting wet I would go ahead and do it.
