Those with Husky Front Floor Liners ...

For those with Husky Front Floor Liners, do you find that the raised edge near the door sill get on your nerves when entering & exiting the seat??

Seams like if you tend to "drag" your feet when getting out that you would knock the floor liner all outta wack every time.

Looks like the catch-all's are not as high in this area ... but it's all hard to comapre the two as I have no really good "actual installed" pics.

Hi,
Your exact concern was mine as well. I opted for the Husky rubber floor mats front and rear ( Supercab ) instead and I am very happy with them. They have very deep ridges and look like they should hold alot of slop in the winter. Minnesota winters ARGH!! That tray idea might be good at times but for everyday use, the floor mats should do just fine. Just my thoughts.

I have the Husky floor liners and have never had a problem with hitting the raised edge when getting in or out of the vehicle. They have worked really well for me and I would gladly get them again.

I agree - I hit the cup holder more than the lip of the liners. I love the Huskey liners and I wouldn't have anything else.

I have the Husky liners in my 2005 Supercrew. They were the first purchase I made for the truck. No one seems to have a problem with the "lip". I had the liners in my Jeep for seven years and loved them. They hold up well, keep the carpet clean and dry, and are easier to clean than the heavy mats. The liners for the Supercrew fit well. If you have the larger center console you may have to trim the back liner. There is a line on the liner to guide you. I hate cleaning carpeted matts. Trucks that are driven in mud and snow or have little kids riding in them simply shouldn't have carpeted matts.

I went with the WeatherTech Extreme Duty Floor Liners because they have no lip. These liners are very similar to the Catch-Alls but don't have a lip and are custom molded to fit the front floor boards.

You can see an example of the product I purchased at

Thanks guys ..

I decided on the WeatherTech's in the front and the Fox WeatherBoot in the Back ... both in Black.

I had to order the rear Fox WeatherBoot somewhat "blind" as I couldn't find an actual pic anywhere. But from the looks of others I found ... it matched the WeatherTech "look" and should do the trick nicely. Plus, the Fox WeatherTech has a carpet inlay ... and although I didn't want carpet up-front, it will look nice in the back.

The combination wasn't cheap ... but I wanted the easiest and most complete protection.

The "tray" design kept getting me on the Husky's ... and I just couldn't warm up to the carpet "screw" that's used for the Catch All's.

get a picture when your done i never heard of them how much more did it cost than the other big names?

i went with husky just because hat diamond plate design matched the sills, the catch alls didnt look good in my eyes but the screw in design is great, our mercedes and bmw came with those to hold the mats in place.

My floor mat solution ...

Here are some pics on how I finally solved my floor mat question ...

I went with WeatherTech's in the front (pics are big, so click on the links) ....

http://img353.imageshack.us/img353/4443/dcp00064wa.jpg

And since WeatherTech didn't have a decent looking rear liner, I went with the Fox Weather Boot in the back (pics are big, so click on the links) ....

I got both sets from Cabela's. It was an expensive option, $230 for all, but I really like the way it came out. The WeatherTech fit perfect in the front ... no screws in the carpet and no "lip" to knock with your feet. They also cover the area near the door sill that is famous for collecting dirt.

The Fox Weather Boot in the back has the same characteristics as the WeatherTech's, except they have carpet over a hard plastic liner. I don't have heavy traffic in the back seats so the carpet was fine and it retains the original look. Onlt thing was that I had to unbolt the rear subwoofer to install it (it went underneath).

I highly recommend this set-up!!

98 Do they offer a center front hump mat? I don't have the floor console. Really am impressed with the fit and coverage on both front and rear. Everyone seems to make the rear mats just to cover the high traffic area not up under the seats, but these seem to take care of that problem.
I am not quite sold on the "square edges" in the center on the rear mats( running front to rear). Not knocking your truck I just am not sure of that aspect of them for myself.
Thanks for taking the time to keep us informed it really helps others out with these "critical" decisions
one last thought... How hard would they be to remove? Because so know crud will eventually work it's way up under the edges.

I like the Huskies because they have lips and because they're so easily removed for cleaning. Personally, I've experienced no issues with the Husky interferring with my getting into or out of the vehicle.

those look nice, but they arent as functional for dirty people like me. the best thing i found the lip to do was when i go up to big bear in the winter every morning before driving off all the snow and slush would have froze over night and i just peel off the half inch or so chunk of ice on the floor mats and i have a perfectly clean mat again.
