Aviator Questions

Hi Folks. Just got a new Aviator and I'm lovin' it! But I have some questions.
I noticed the tranny has no dipstick, so how do I check the oil?
Is the 5 speed auto tranny reliable? Is there something I can do to prevent tranny trouble? It has the 7100# towing package, with a good sized tranny cooler. Will that prevent trouble?
When should the fluid be changed?
The DOHC V8 uses 5w20 oil. Would an engine oil cooler be a good idea, or does it have one? I don't see one, but that means nothing. The police cars used to use (maybe still do?) a cooler that used engine coolant supplied from the heater hose for cooling. Do they work well?
Also, the recommended gas is 91 octane. Anyone ever used lower octane gas successfully? Will it still have as much power and fuel mileage on 89 octane as 91? I mean is 91 really needed or can I get by with something lower?
Thanks for your answers!

Forgot one thing- Tell me of any problems I should keep an eye open for, before real trouble happens.

Trans is sealed, dont mess with it unless a problem occurs. Doesnt seem like a great idea but thats how they are these days..If you do a lot of towing maybe change the fluid at 30K but otherwise dont worry about it until the manual says to change it. Dealer of course will suggest doing sooner to pocket some money from you..Not sure about the other stuff, but it sounds like a nice vehicle.
