Question What are they for?

Was detailing both of my PSD's under the hood today and noticed that both of them in the left rear corner of the engine compartment have 4 wires(blue, black, yellow and white) comming out of a big wiring harness that is wrapped in black tape with some red narrow tape that "swirls" the length of the harness. These wires are just taped to the big harness and have an exposed lenght of about 6 inches.....what could you hook up to them or what are they for? First though was for a brake controller but thats already wired under the dash. Any ideas? This is on an 02 and and 03...take a look at yours.

These are just "spares" that come from under the instrument panel.

Use them for what you will. It just saves you from punching holes in your firewall to run your own wires through.

Nice touch on Ford's part, for once, as they seem to be skimping everywhere else!
