OK...i know this is talked about often..but does anyone know for sure if their going to be around for 06???I cant wait, i need to know!!
Thanks in advanced
This has been covered many times here. There is no "Job One" date for an '06..it's over, done finished. Be glad, like I am, that you got the last year...especially with the updated front end that marks it instantly as the last of it's kind.
There are 06 X's out there. I have seen them in person BUT, they are left over 05's with 06 VIN #'s. Very few are out there also. I guess Ford had soon on the MFG lot and shipped them out as 06's. The one I seen was at Koons Ford in Annapolis, MD.
Yes, i am glad i already have my 05 excursion. I love the new grill/front end, i have added those chrome covers over the mirrors, and it looks awesome. Next upgrade will be to find stock f250 18' inch wheels, then it will truely be an awesome lookin truck, like the upgraded superdutys
And i to call BS to whom ever said 06 excursions on the dealership lot, next time you go to the dealership bring a camera and take a pic.
i went to take my x in for service and the hade 2 silver ones on the lot that said 06 on the front window i will go by their this weekend when i pick up my x and get a picture for if they still have them they were the only 2 on the lot
I don't know how they can be '06 models when the '05 models are still being produced. There is no job one date for the '06 models and Ford has officially announced the end of the Excursion and lay off of 250 workers. It cannot be a 2006 model Excursion.
I read that September 30th was the last production day for the Excursion. So wouldn't that make it an 06? Super duties produced during that time are 06's so why no the Ex?
Last production day is as above for 2005 model Excursions. While I suppose anything is possible, I cannot imagine Ford going to all the agg of only building a few '06s.
I work with one of the biggest Ford dealers in our area, and they too have confirmed no '06s.
