Oh, and BTW, Sears does NOT carry LH bits.

Don't know if they ever did (perhaps), but you won't find them there now.

Last set I used came from Harbor Freight.

Maybe akin to this:

Aggie foreman saw one of his Aggie carpenters nailing up some siding. He would take a nail out of his pouch and look at it. Some he would use, and some he would throw away. The foreman asked said carpenter why he was throwing some of the nails away. The carperter replied that the heads were on the wrong end of the nails. The forman then told him not to throw the nails away, just use them on the other side. Makes sense to me.......... jd

He was probably a brother-in-law to this guy.

Bubba graduated from Texas A&M, and wanted to start a chicken farm. He ordered in a couple cases of biddies(baby chicks). He made rows in his backyard garden, and planted the biddies whereupon they immediately died. He was standing in the garden when his friend Bubba2 walked up. He described his problem, and Bubba2 told him, "Well hell, *******, you planted them upside down."

So Bubba orders a couple more cases. When they arrive, he plants them all
feet first in the ground. He checks them in a few hours, and of course they are all dead. He is at his wits end as to what is wrong. Bubba2 doesn't know either and tells him he should write the university, and describe in detail his problem.

Bubba does this, describing the two efforts to get a crop out of his biddies. In a couple of weeks he gets a reply from the university. The university states that after going over all the data and information submitted they need to do further study. Please send a soil sample............ jd

A drill bit doctor will save you alot of money and if you but a bit set more then once
a year you will save the first few uses. A company I worked for were going through
at least one 1/2 inx12in masonary bit a week sometimes more. I said why don't you
a drill bit sharpener and he sent me to get one. It wasn't long before I was made service
manager!! When you use a bit that was resharpened it almost seems like it cuts better
since you are thinking of all the money you just saved. Of course with bi level tip
masonary or even paddle bits you have to use the DD free hand without the chuck and
you caan do the same for any bit of you wanted to alter the shape.
Left hand bits are nice but I thinkthey are going to be supplanted by that new little
screw extractor system that cuts a uniform dish then has a left hand twist to it that
tapers out and grabs the dish.(forget their name) But Irwin makes Left hand twists
IRWIN Left-Hand Mechanics Length Cobalt High Speed
Steel Drill Bits

Of course don't forget to mark them well or else you will chuck them up and after thinking you are drilling unobtanium realize you grabbed
the lefthand twists and are spining the wrong way.
