mass airflow question
Has anyone ever performed a mass airflow conversion to a 94 F-150, and if so, was there a noticable difference in millage, or horespower. Plus, would this conversion be a good idea for me if i put some performance parts on my engine, or should i just keep my speed density. P.S. where can i find a good mass airflow conversion kit. My truck is a 302 manual trans.

summit racing make a kit but it $650. I was looking at the same thing, so I have the same question. However looking in my haynes manual they show the wiring for the 95 and 96 which have mass air. looks like maybe just diconnect the SP and hook up mass air but not sure if thats the way to do it.

my brother did this to his 94 lighting. He put a supercharger on and chip tuning which makes a huge difference in his performnce compared to speed density. he's gone back and forth and said mass air is the way to go. he used a ford racing kit for ford lightning. now it's for a two wheel drive truck, but i used the same kit also for 30 LB injectors and its air meter. My 94 is already mass air from factory with E4OD trans but this kit works very well on my truck. With the computer change out 4-low will not work. so let me know if you need more info.

Since you have a manual tranny it will be pretty easy to convert to MAF with parts off a mustang and will also be cheaper than most kits that are out there.(I just swaped my truck to MAF back in May)
