Anyone successfully installed an aftermarket headunit in thier truck and been able to keep the reverse aid sensors? I'm assuming you have to use the trigger wire to acitvate some new kind of chime since the current one runs through the stock stereo. Any thoughts?

does the signal wire send a 12v pulse to trigger? if so you may be able to hook a relay to the wire and send it to the door chime or something like that.
I don't know which car you are talking about, but my '04 F-250's reverse aid sensor has it's own buzzer and it doesn't go thru the stereo. I switched the stock stereo to a Pioneer AVIC-N2 without a problem and my reverse aid sensor still screaming when I put it in use.
