oil leak?

oil leak?
My 96 3.0/automatic/4x4 w/140,000miles on the ticker has developed an oil leak. A service tech told me it was probably the oil pressure sending unit, seeing that is where the leak seems to be originating from. Is this a hard or tough fix? There isn't much info in the chilton's manual. Should I replace with OEM part or is there an aftermarked that will perform as well or better? Anyone done this recently that can point out some troubles I may have? Thanks....in advance.
Addl note...it even drips when sitting in the garage...leaves an oil stain. Not a huge amount, but noticeable. I don't drive the old girl much anymore, so just want to keep her in service as needed.

The oil pressure sending unit is screwed into the block, just behind the head on the passenger's side. It can be reached from the top, but I found it was easier to jack the passenger's side up, and reach it through the inner fender liner......Good luck!!
