K, I'm curious now....

What is the going price for fuel up that way? Super Unleaded and Diesel.. My Father in Law was just up and was asking me if I knew, and I didn't have an answer for him.

Cheaper in the Cities (Fairbanks and Anchorage). Its $2.80 in Valdez for Diesel and the last time I filled up the wifes car gas was $2.76. Last time I was in Anchorage I think it was (Diesel) $2.45.

Fairbanks right now.

$2.399 Unleaded

$2.419 Diesel

I don't have any Super on my bill that is here in front of me but I think it is usually about .10 more than Regular?

$2.81 Reg - $2.86 Med - $2.91 Super - Diesel $2.86. Big yo-yo here. Up 20 cents one week then down 20 then back up 20. I bet its here to stay due to the upcoming winter.

Depends on were you live. Cant speak for were you are going. Here, on the average, we usually have a few feet of snow on the ground by Halloween and the snow is usually gone from my yard by the middle of May. Thats an average. I've seen it snow all months here and I have seen it gone uptil Jan until we got snow.

The big question is should a guy get the heating oil tanks filled now or later? Just what will the price be this fall. Decisions, decisions...............

Heck, let's all just pack up and goto Jamaica for the winter. But given my druthers, I think I'd buy the oil now rather than later.

We usually wait for dividends to fill the tanks but we might just tap into the old savings account to do it before the prices go up anymore. Right now I think we need about 900 gallons.

I have a 300 gal tank. Burn 75 a month during the summer and 150 a month during the winter. I will probley be burning more this winter since I added another zone (3 car garage). I have it on auto fill and since I dont have a large bulk storage it wouldnt make much difference for me. Now if I had a large tank that would be a different story. What is #1 going for in Fairbanks and Matsu? $2.25 here for home fuel oil.
