Made my first hook Friday night. It's been a long week. Tuesday installed traction bars, Wednesday new SouthBend double disc clutch, Thursday rear bump stops. Friday night 23 trucks pulled in street diesel. Top 3 were Dodges at 305, 302, and 296, I took 4th with a 288.65 and a six leaker took 5th with a 287.67. My next pull will be Tuesday.
Nice job. What's your opinion of the DD clutch. A puller only, or is it going to be ok on the street too? Get any slip pulling with it without breaking it in?
Thanks everyone.
Cookie I went with the SouthBend feramic. Cost a little more but the Ford being a diaphram pressure plate you can't get the plate load like the Dodges. The clutch is real streetable, I had about 200 miles on it. I came out at 3k rpm's with plenty of slip.
Dave, we had no rain at all, plenty wet when I got back to Morgantown. Thier pulling Tuesday ( so I'm told ) at Waynesburg.
