Man I gotta tell ya.
I enjoyed the phone conversation that we had the other night. To bad you didn't make the drive down to enjoy that FREE steak dinner that you would have recieved.
Oh well, maybe next time when I got a little time to kill in that area you'll accept the offer.
Now that I have your phone number, I will be able to give you a more of advance notice. I guess the 5 minute notice I gave ya wasn't good enough.

There are a few places along 51 that are not bad - one of them actually has real steak knives and a young pretty waitress!
But I only had four gallons of fuel to my knowlege that night, and nothing in the bank...
It bugs me a lot to not be able to ride the interstates like I did once upon the old days.
It's something I'm going to fix.
I dunno how, but I will...

I'm here most of the time, especially since I second guessed a pressure cooker last monday... No suprise, I guessed wrong. Scalded the dickens out of my left hand, but its much better. (Only looks appalling, as opposed to horrible now...)
I've got a Taurus to rob goodies for my truck out of, I hate not being fit to tinker on it.
I also have to get a very old car into my garage before it gets plain ruined from being out in the weather.
Oh well - long as the rain don't fall in my cornflakes I'll be happy!

I've been real busy at work or I'd have stopped by last wk. It will slow down soon. We have lots of work in your area. I'll get by your place some day soon. I'l be driving a E250 extended van with Creative Kitchens on the side.

On the other hand, I need to get out there and straighten up the yard - burn or no burn...
Its been holding at a bit shy of a hundred for a while now. I had trouble with that even before I fried myself.

I hear ya on the burn,
I went to florida on vacation last week, came back with 2nd degree burns on my back. It's starting to heal but the first 2 days trying to sleep was awful.
And i refused to take pain pills my mom said i needed to but what does she know, she's only a neonatiologist. I hate pills
My arms, legs and face,and neck tan really good, anything under my shirt does not.
So guess what happened yesturday, i told the GF not to tap me on the shoulder when she saw me at school, so she walked up and slapped my shoulder...... searing pain ringed through my back, good thing she's a girl or i would of smacked her.
It's gonna be 100 and sunny here today in lovely Clarksvagas.

Parts of this one are shallow third degree. it had to be a hand - I've felt just about useless for a week, and wanted to check on a Dealership nearby on a job.
It would not look very good to turn up with a big bandage on to apply for a spot in the service area...

Yea the hand is the most useful part of the body(well almost)
IF it is screwed up it sucks. I hate burns on my hands, worse i hate acidentally hitting my middle finger full force with a mallet. Ouch for about 5 min then it's numb.

Trick with a scorch is keeping it from getting contaminated and infected.
Worst with a burn is after skin peels - thats when it really hurts.
I'm going to have a lot of funky looking pink skin after this, but once its sealed and healed mostly back I can get filthy and not worry about it. Necessary for someone who likes to tear down engines and see what happened inside them...

I tear down engines too, bought some of those mechanics gloves, useless for pulling something apart that requires feel. My mom and dad were complaining about my hands always being dirty, so i got some, wore them once, threw them in the truck and keep them there incase i need to do something on my or my GF's truck on the way to school so i don't get dirty.

You have to keep the skin moist until fully healed, I had a teacher who would buy vitamin E tablets, he'd bust them and rub it on the burn. I found the silbver oxide prescribed at hospitals, turns black from exposure to oxygen, not attractive when on ones face. It's best to keep it wrapped, you can use breathable wrap, there is some no stick gauze.

I've been finding that to be very true, especially on the inside of the wrist. I use lots of triple antibiotic ointment on it, mainly to keep the skin from drying.
Looks tons better, even the parts that went 'third' on me.
