I should be recieving my cat test pipe today and was wondering that mods need to be done to make it fit?
I thought I read it needs to be shortened slightly if this is the case, how much do I need to cut?
Any other mods need to be done for this pipe to fit correctly?
I ended up getting a catless midpipe from someone who put a 4" turbo back on their 2000 F350. It was sitting in his shop doing nothing so I figured I'd put it to use. I ended up cutting about 3" off of the muffler end. Also, had to move both hangers a few inches. Other than that, it bolted right up.
Only differences I've noticed: A little more turbo whine and the exhaust smells different. No noticeable difference in spool time or power. IMO, not worth taking off.
