What is the "button" on the dash of a 66. It is directly above the ignition switch. I haven't been able to figure out what it is for, but I'm sure several of you do know. I know I have alot of questions, but I'm new to the old Ford truck scene and am in the process of learning about them since I have been mostly a GM guy for a long time.
There was another question about this in a post about glove boxes. I don't recall that anyone actually had an answer. Some thought it might hyperspace you if you were going 88mph and had 1.21 jigawatts directed at your antenna. Me, I like the mystery.
Mine's for the windshield washer pump too, but I've considered converting it into a remote switch for the bowling ball drop I've been designing and thinking about installing to ward off tailgaters.
Its positively 100% for the window washers...the button above the switch is a 65 only thing, although I have seen on early 66's....using up the 65 cabs....bolted gas pedal to the floor is another indicator its a 65 cab....
