Hello, newbe here. I've put a 5.0 88,fi motor in my 60 f100. Anyway. How do I wire the electric fuel pumps without running it thru the computer? Can i wire the hi pressure pump to the battery side of the starter solenoid, and the low pressure pump to the "S" side of the solenoid? The outfit that I've got has a plate with the pumps, filters, lines and another little relay on it, and the fuel pump relay that goes to the computer is toast. I know that the book says that the hi pump comes on for 2seconds, then when the computer senses crankshaft movement the low pressure pump is supposed to kick on. What should I do? Any help is great! Thanks.
Sad to say, but You have to run it thru thr computer.. The computer controls the rate that the fuel flows so you get proper pressure at the injectors..
