There couldnt be fatal amounts of load put on the engine, like you said, they can survive it, but I really dont see it harming the engine in anyway. Infact the exhaust brake helps warm up faster because of the load it puts on the engine.
LOL, You might want to consider one with the 90-95MPH driving your doing while towing 10k.

But we don't have hills here. Period. Just miles and miles of flat straight road. There is one stretch which doesn't have a corner for around 80miles, let alone a hill.
If I want to stop for something, I can take 5 miles to slow down if I want.
Even overtaking, you pull out onto the wrong side of the road around 1/2 a mile before the car you want pass, and just stay there until you are a couple of hundred yards in front.
The driving techinique required is certainly unique (and nice and relaxed).
And I don't think I need one to warm up the engine quicker either
