Alternator woes

Alternator woes
I have a 99 Expedition with a 5.4l and have had the bearings go in two different alternators. The first alternator could not be repaired as the commutator was too far gone. The current alternator only lasted about 15000 miles before the bearings became noisy. This was a brand new one from Ford. I have checked the belt tensioner, and the indicator on the casting looks to be in the mid range.
