Guys, I have a couple of questions:
All I have on my truck as of now is a switched 5.6k mod as far as fueling. I have a DP-Tuner 80 hp econo PCM on it's way and am wondering how it compares to the 5.6k mod? I know it's a night and day difference with the 5.6k activated. So how does it compare? I can't wait for it to get here.
Another question, should I get rid of the mod once the DP-Tuner is installed? Will it hurt to use both?
And the last question: When installing the PCM should you disconnect the batteries?
yes on the batteries, the pcm will make alot of diff over the 5.6K as it controls more variables of the engine, and i wouldnt use the 5.6K anymore with the PCM as the pcm will be doing the same thing.
The DP-PCM will blow the resistor mod out of the water, but you can use them both together. It's not going to hurt anything to try it and see of it makes any improvement
Ya'll are right! I drove it with the new tune and ripped the 5.6K out! I won't be needing that anymore. There's no comparison! The truck will smoke the tires for at least a hundred feet. If anybody is debating getting a Tipton tune you're wasting valuable time. Awesome customer service, too! Thanks Jody! Damon
