<!--StartFragment --> I'm writing from Italy, we have not official assistance by Ford. I have a 2004 F150 5.4 Supercrew lariat with electronic automatic temperature control. Wen I switch on the system blower doesn't work. No air. The compressor work because if I drive in highway at 70-80 mph, the air pressure in the front of veichle push the air inside the cabin and the temperature go down, otherwise if there isn't the speed, no air in the cabin. I've checked fuse13 that is ok and fuse116 that is ok. Is the relay R06 in the a/c blower chain? I don't ear "tic" noise from that. Where is located the blower motor to check it? Is accessibile from front panel, behind the a/c control panel? Is difficult to unmount? Thank you for your help. Giuseppe
Hello f150ita! Welcome to FTE! That is very cool having a F150 in Italy! I have been to Italy and you have your hands full driving a full size truck on those streets.
Now to your problem, do you have dealer or did you have the truck shipped in special?
It sounds like your electronice module needs to be tested.
Several questions arise but we will start off, one at a time. It sounds like your blower fan is not working.
Thank you for answer Ultramagdan. I love F150 and I bought it used on ebay. The dealer is Grapevine Suzuki Texas. I bought the truck in February and after many bureucratic operation last week I drive my monster. All is OK. But the blower doesn't work. I tested fuses 13 and 116 and were ok. Now I want to test if on the motor there is 12v dc, the problem is where is blower motor? Can I test dc voltage in other place like wire near fuse box or other? You tell me that I need to check electronic module. Where is situated? which kind of test? Is there some documentation to take apart blower motor with some pic? Many thanks for your help. Ciao dall'Italia.
Yesterday night, I start with my first inspection. When I tried to unplug the blower motor connector to verify dc voltage, I saw that wasn't completely plugged. I think that my son or somebody has hit the connector with feet and unplugged it. Thank you for your answer. Visit Italy. Ciao. Giuseppe.
DONT LEAVE! We want to know what people in Italy think of your monster sized F-150. I have an '83, and it is huge here in western North Carolina. As for gas mileage, Mine just sucks, and I'm paying a measley $2.30 per gallon for it.
Alas, Seems like just yesterday that I was buying premium gas for this truck because I liked the way the gas smelled... Never again, I'm afraid...
I think that in Italy there are not more 10 2004 F150. The gas cost is about 1,50 $ per liter!!! but everywhere I go with my truck, all people are turn the head to follow me and when I start from the red light in the traffic the music of my V8 reduce to silence all other noises. I love USA. I never been there to visit your country, my first contact with your life style is my monster. Thank you for your interest and for your help.
Have a good week end. I think that we will have contact in the future.
I have in my garage a piece of USA!!!
