I am having a problem taking the o2 sensor off. I think it is the original one. Are they reverse thread or regular. And idea's how to get it off? Thanks.
6 point socket or special O2 sensor socket that some auto parts stores will loan with purchase of O2. 6 point box end wrench may work also.
some have had to resort to pipe wrench because of clearance issues
soak overnight with good penetrating oil, spray 2 or three times and let it soak
And they have standard thread dirrection. Turning counterclockwise will remove. Use O2 sensor anti seize on your new sensor, otherwise it will be as difficult to replace as the original.
I like Permatex Fast Break Super Penetrant, national brand so wide availability, spray can. soak a couple times and let set overnight.
"the right stuff"
I personally like Liquid Bi, eh, Wrench, At my old job at a Bacon plant, that is all they used to remove old bolts. Now if a bolt has been soaking for a long time in bacon grease and it takes it off, then petrolium should be no problem.

another trick on a cold pipe is to heat the sensor base and threaded mount with a propane torch until hot then melt candle wax into threads. works better than any commercial prep. old millwrights blacksmiths trick.
My motto "if it sticks, use WD-40; if it won't, use duct tape". But seriously, if the van runs warming it up helps. If it won't run you'll need a torch as 96_4wdr said. I've never heard of the candle wax trick, one to remember.
but if under the van, don't drip any of the hot wax on face or guarenteed goose egg on head and period of unconsciousness after trying to stick head thru floorboards.
OMG! had pick myself off the floor after that visual! guess it goes to show, those of us without lifts, have a slightly skewed sense of humor when it comes to working on the a*.
